My Husband purchased a blender for me about 9 months ago. For some reason it stopped working, as it was still under guarantee I decided to exchange it. I did have the receipt however the Edgars card he used was in Durban with our parents. When we got to the store, they informed us that they could not do the exchange due to lack of the card. We gladly left our blender with Ellisa, and requested she keep it safely untill we receive the card, so that we could do the exchange. I only received the card two weeks later via post from Durban, this was yesterday. Today I received a wonderful call from Ellisa, notifying me that if I did not come and get my blender by Saturday, she would then give it away!!! What kind of service is that? I did not give my items to a pawn store? Do i get treated like a criminal, and be held ransom by some store assistant?
And to top it all off, when I asked to speak to the manager, Martha, flatly refused to come to the phone! I heard her saying no!!! This is absolutely despicable behaviour as we have been edcon clients for over 12 yrs... surely this is not how we should be treated??? VERY DISAPPOINTED AND WILL BE TAKING THIS MATTER FURTHER.
