I bought a Packard Bell laptop from Makro, one of the reasons being that it had a 3 year warranty.! 3 months after purchase, buttons started getting loose, and falling. I took it back to Makro in order to either get it repaired or get an exchange only to find out that the warranty was only valid if I had registered it within a month of purchase. I did not do this and so the person I spoke to said there was nothing I could do.
Surely, at the time of purchase the salesperson should have specified that the product needed to be registered.
I am deeply unhappy with this, and in future I would find it hard to trust warranty promises.
