Incorrect pricing

My mother bought 2 dresses at Woolworths on 29/09/2013 for R250 each using her account and today I went to return the dresses as I wanted to take them using my account and I was told that if I return them on my mothers card and take them on my card they are going to use the original price they were bought for on 29/09/2013 hence the dresses are on sale now at 65% off of which I was not aware of the sale prices. My concern is why am i suppose to get them on the original price and not the current sale price cause I was only going to buy them using my account today (27/10/2013).
