Costly, still unresolved debit order change proces

I have had a very terrible experience with Jet Stores. I have been their customer for many years, but I have come head-on with their terrible beauracratic machineery. A mere change of bank account details with them has costed me dearly, and this has been continuing for some three to four months now. I have been able to switch other debit orders for my other accounts with ease, but Jet Stores / Edcon have been a nightmare. Since my previous bank account is no longer active, I am incurring high monthly fees on my previous bank account because of returned debits, as a result of the retailer's unmaneuverable red tape. When you enquire what is actually required to change debit orders, you are given different information by staff. You have to submit certain documents (including your ID copy, copy of the shop's account card, copy of your new bank account etc, and three months bank statements!); you have to email head-office etc. Two weeks ago I spent over an hour at the Eastgate shop, trying to sove the problem. I gave them all the documents they required, and yet when I phoned today, I'm told the account details have not yet been changed! Be warned - I am cancelling with them...
