Purchased an I Phone from FNB

Put through an order for an IPhone 5 through my bank account with FNB. I received notification 30 September that the device would be delivered by Digital Planet shortly. No phone has arrived by 4 October (birthday gift). I contact Digital Planet who advise me that the device is on back order as FNB have no stock. FNB confirm that the stock is given to Digital Planet and Digital Planet only deliver within 15 days. I have contacted Digital Planet who have confirmed that there may not be delivery given the back orders from FNB (who supply the stock). I want the truth! I am a consumer caught in the red tape and the inefficient service.
