Likewise I am incensed by the LATE PAYMENT PENALTY FEE that Woolworths is charging, on top of that hefty monthly interest charges. How are they out of pocket by the late payment? The interest the customers are charged more than offsets the interest the bank charges them. This is a blatant attempt at extorting more money from their ignorant customer base! The usual practice of refusing to allow customers more sales until payment on their account is made is more than effective!! This new practice is definitely leaving a bitter taste in my mouth. This in addition to the fact that their are relatively few freebies obtainable from Woollies in comparison to other stores, e.g. Edgars, in the first place. Woollies is really emerging as being very money hungry and have no compunction at gouging for the extra bit, in spite of their huge publicized profits. This will absolutely influence the way I buy at Woollies. Very disappointed.
