We went to the above Pharmacy to have a prescription filled. We first inquired on the price of 1000mg Augmentin, and were told the price is R287 for 10 tablets. However the generic of Augmentin is only R139.20!!!
We knew straight away that something was wrong. We then went to Medirite in Checkers which is next door to Clicks and was informed by the Pharmacist on duty that the price for 10x1000mg Augmentin is R157.33.
He also informed me that Chemists push the generic.s because they have a better mark up than the original
medicine!!! This kind of and deceit is completely unacceptable and this has destroyed any faith I had left in Clicks. This was as far as we are concerned a blatant attempt to rip us off!!!
