Dion selling off second hand unit as new

I went into Dion wired in Woodmead to purchase a wireless extender. There was one left on the shelf. I purchased it for the ticket price of R895 and took it home. Upon opening the box at home I noticed that the power cable (usually neatly tied) was opened and found this strange. On switching on the device I discovered that it was previously configured as the device name was changed and the device settings were changed. I then reset the device and continued with the set up etc.
Following the set up of the device my wireless connection at home become completely unstable. The extender continuously lost it's settings and caused numerous other issues. This resulted in me having to spend about an hour on the phone with our IT support in Switzerland before confirming that the extender was in fact faulty and the route cause of the problems
The issues I have are as follows:
I have lost precious time that I cannot get back - several hours!
The cost of the international call troubleshooting is going to be high.
I was sold a second hand device under the pretence that it was new.
The device was faulty (this could be why it was returned) and was still sold with no regard for the customer.
