What I thought would be a nice to have "cheaper" version of a surveilence camera for my house ended up being a waste of money and white desk weight...
I recently purchased the IP Camera from Groupon and was excited to hear the they had finally delivered my product (after finding out that Group SA logistics were not great). When I got home, I immediately opened the box and tried to install the device.
All I can say is POOR instructions and boxed software that does not work. I followed the instructions exactly and still the wireless settings would not work - I mean, it is only 3 steps, how difficult can it be for someone in the IT world. I then decided to read up some forums only to discover and confirm through the seetings that the firmware on the device is so outdated which is renowned for having issues with wireless functionality. So, this means that I cannot operate the device in wireless mode.
So much for a device that cannot do what it was advertised to do... Now I am stuck with this becuase I wont get the functionality that I originally made the purchase for!!
BAD BAD BAD on you Groupon SA! Do your research next time or provide customers with more information
