I have had my edgars account for over 3 years. in the three year period i have paid my account 1 day late 7th July instead of 6th July 2013. every other month my account is paid well before even the 30th of every month and more than the required installment is paid. For a day late payment i have been listed on the credit bereu which will reflect negatively on my credit as well as remain there for two years.

apart from this when i phone into edcon, i get transferred to 3 different departments who each don't understand the national credit act. cannot give me any information as well as cut the call on me. ladies name is Silindile Gwala from edcon. they have no understanding of the legal requirements, say i don't know and we cant help you, pay your account on time.

if i was a slow payer, why would every months instalment be paid before time and more than the required amount?

extremley upset to be be treated this way for having 1 day late payment. if i paid 1 week or 1 month late and is continuously a slow payer i would understand. highly disappointed in the way this was dealt with.i have since decided to close my account and will never deal with any Edcon group again
