I have recently fallen victim to an identity scandal where an Edgars account was opened in my name without my consent using my ID number. Not only was it that it took 3 days to just get through to the department, there was absolutely no sense of urgency whatsoever. I had to resend my documentation over and over as each time i called to make sure it was received nobody could find it. So after 5 weeks of back and forth the account was closed and updated with ITC. I now require a copy of the account application form and ID document used in opening the account. So i call the Edgars hotline and ask to get through to the frud department, once again passed from pillar to post only to be told that NO MANAGER or the lady dealing with my investigation are in the office, so thats no manager in the office, no supervisor and no call centre agent, where are they all? Ismail Khan, Mduduzi Hlubi and Norma Mnisi all off at the same time? This explains exactly why I have had the run around from Edgars. Please get somebody (who actually works a full day) to send me the information i require, not for my own records but for the SAPS as well.
