I wanted to purchase 3 items today at the East Rand Mall. The cashier told me that my card has been blocked due to FICA and I should go to Customer Services to have it re-activated. I then told her that I did not have proof of address with me, to which she replied that it was not necessary. What is the use of FICA if they do not need the documents??? If my card is not activated after this complaint, I will close my account. I have had this account for a very long time and have always paid it well in advance of the due date. Why should I tolerate treatment like this???
