During the course of October 2012 I received a request from Edgars to FICA my Edgars account. I went to the Edgars branch in Westwood Mall Durban and provided the required information. During the course of February / March 2013 I wanted to make a purchase of which I was told my account was blocked, I was advised that I need to FICA my account. I went to Edgars Pavilion branch and once again provided all the necessary documents of which they provided me with a new Edgars card. Today (16 May 2013) I wanted to make a purchase of which I had been advised my account is blocked for the third time and I need to FICA. "Please note that I will not go to another Edgars branch to provide any further documents or neither will Edgars receive any payment going forward until this issue is sorted out". This clearly tells me that the Edcon Group internal controls is "shocking".
