I purchased a Hoover Hand Vacuum Cleaner on 3rd January 2013 and when I tried to use it the machine i found that it doesn't anything up. I didn't take it back immediately and then misplaced the slip. I found the slip and took it back to Game Festival Mall today where I requested a refund. The lady at Customer Services told me I should have returned it within 7 days because now I can only have it repaired. Am I know right in assuming that according to the Consumer Act if I take something back within six months I have the choice of a refund, a replacement or a repair? I do not want to have something repaired that has been faulty from day one.
