I was a customer at ADT last year and the installation of the alarm system was wrongly billed to my name. (I was only renting the house and found the alarm system already installed before I moved in.) Despite my trying to contact them whole of last year and the beginning of this year - hours spent on the phone and hundreds of emails- to correct the error, either they don't respond to emails or the call centre is incompetent, endlessly transferring the call from one useless employee to another, or they say that everything is resolved and then the following month I get the bill again.
Today I received an email threatening legal action. I honestly don't know what to do any more. They seem entirely unwilling to correct their mistake and none of the channels I've taken seem to bring any resolution.
I really don't want to have to go to court with this but I don't see any other way.
