Refusal to accept cancellation of contract

I have been evicted from my home and submitted the letter to ADT. They are refusing to accept my notice and are trying to compel me to a contract of two years. I have been renting for one year.. They threaten to black list and take me to court.. I am a 71year old pensioner!! I need help to deal with these people please?
my question is... what do I do with the system when I move.? The house will be vacant and vandalised.
