I am renting an apartment and recently attempted to take over the ADT security account of the previous tenant. From the get-go there have been mix-ups and miscommunications from ADT Security. First, they sent over a sales rep to sell me a brand new contract and didn't understand that I was to be taking on the contract of another client, so I was signed up for two accounts on the same property. Second, ADT techs came over to my house unannounced to install a lock box that I didn't want nor requested, but have nonetheless been charged for. I have since been seen by two different techs who have told me I need a new receiver, or that I do not. I eventually ordered a new receivers and three new remotes for the alarm which I never received. ADT has charged me for two months' security services that I have not received. I have since requested repeatedly to cancel the contract and get a refunded but this has not been processed in over three weeks of emailing and calling the company.
