Incorrect information, reffer to t's and c's

For the past few months we have been using our dstv at our holiday house on a 'pay as you go' basis.
So tonight when we arrived I mustered up the courage to make the 20 minute phonecall to re activate for the one evening we are spending here only after the online self help service failed to work.

I was told no problem, I must pay R 118 that is in arrears plus R50 which I assumed was for the one nights use.

With a sollution in mind I struggled another 20 minutes to get the internet banking working (bad signal), made the payment and called back as advised by agent to activate... another forever waiting for an agent to answer just to be told the previous agent gave me the incorrect information and that it is a month to month contract?

This is the first we hear of it... not only did the first call centre agent give me the incorrect information, the second call centre agent failed to understand my question of duplicate payment amounts and failed to explain to me where those amounts came from (both amounts R118).

Whenever I asked a question she couldnt answer she merely said, you read the terms and conditions which states xyz

This is ludicrous and such a waste of time and money
