Government Pension Administration Agency
Failure to process and pay timeously, no feedback

Since the submission of my resignation claim documents to the GEPF/GPAA on 21st October 2013, I am still awaiting payment. The 60 day waiting period has elapsed, and all I get from the call centre agents is the run around. Furthermore, the quality provided by the GPAA is substandard. Each call, if your airtime lasts that long, results in one feeble excuse after the other. "Your resignation benefit is still being processed", "it was last worked on this date", "we have not received your documents yet", "I will escalate it to the supervisor", "please call back next week", etc.! From what I've read, we are all fed the same compost when we call! It is just one lame excuse (or lie?) after the other.

What I want to know from the GPAA (Katlego Tselapedi is the liaison it would appear) is WHEN I will receive my pension pay-out? I am not interested in excuses or empty promises. I simply want what is owed to me, and would like to be done with the GPAA/GEPF. I cannot accept that it takes months, and apparently even YEARS, to process a claim.

I look forward to seeing whether complaining about the GPAA on this forum is effective or not. We should not even have to resort to this.
