Government Pension Administration Agency
Slow on divorce claims

On 14th November 2012, I've Submitted my application, completed documents at our local Department of Health GEPF office. I decided to track the process personally. I was promised this process has a 60day turn around time. On 21 December 2012, my application was receipted with a tracking number at Cape Town Walking Centre. On 22nd January my Documents were received at Pretoria GPAA office and passed to legal department. I received a email stating this process has a 60day turn around time, yes again. 20th of March I paid a private courier service to have my Choice Form documents hand- delivered to GPAA Pretoria office, Legal Department. Call centre advised me, all documents are in place and it will take Legal Department up to 14days and payment will be processed, payment process, has SARS clearance of 2days and 2days for transfer. Its now another 30days later and the whole process is standing at 165 days and no claim payout. Why do they not utilize the walking centre staff to process claims. Then why The walking centre? We have to courier our own documents to process, the phone numbers provided by the walking centre has no answer. People pass the buck and we do not get honest answers.
