Widows Claim-Unpaid after 5 months and no progress

My mother passed away in April 2012. My father, Mr RN Breen submitted a claim for the spousal portion of my mom's pension. All documents were recieved by the GPAA in May 2013. I have called weekly to find out what the progress is with the claim and was told they were processing a divorce claim. I got hold of Mr Kenneth Baloyi who explained that it was with the claim centre, but they were still awaiting the file. Kenneth is extremely helpful, but cannot give me answers that he doesn't have. It has been 5 months, without any progress and no-one can tell me what is happening. My father is critically ill and needs this to be able to afford basic care. I have emailed every week and have recieved no feedback on the claim.
