Since April this year, the GEPF deducted random amounts from my pension for the purpose of paying SARS an amount due. The problem is that SARS never received some of these payments. I have been trying to sort this out for the last 6 months and nobody at the GEPF can assist me. I even contacted their Line to report the matter, since it appears that the somebody at the GEPF's my money. SARS also recommended that I contact the GEPF Line. I have not received any response.
My account with SARS would have been settled by now if the GEPF paid SARS all the money they deducted from my pension. Unfortunately the GEPF's still deducting money from my pension and SARS confirmed that they only received some of these payments.
I have no money left to buy the monthly necessities, because the GEPF 's my money. I am just a poor pensioner and even SARS are shocked at what's going on. They made a note on their system that their's possible irregularities at the GEPF.
Can somebody at the GEPF please trace the person who's taking money from my pension but not paying it over to SARS. I am very poor and I can't take it anymore.
