I took my sons abridged certificate to get it unabridged at the edenvale home affairs, last year 2012 august 01, until today 2013 june 01 i am still waiting for it, every time i call the call center to get an update they tell me to call back in 2 weeks, this is absolutely ridiculous, the department has had nearly a whole year to look for it, if you haven't found it by now Im pretty sure it is lost, so just make a new application, because i have a copy, we are unable to travel anywhere because my son has no documents.
