We applied for our daughter's unabriged birth certificate in September 2012 and was told that we will have her certificate in 5 to 6 weeks as this was their turnaround time. In december when we called they kept telling us that the application was at headoffice and our application will be turned to an urgent application. We kept calling the department's call centre until when eventually another lady suggested we go to the department to fill a DHA24 and DHA288 and obtain a tracking number. Which we did in April the 16th. The beginning of May we received an sms stating that we should come to the department to fill the DHA24 and DHA288, for which we asked how many times we should provide birth records since we have already done it when applying for her initial certificate and again as equested. How long do we need to wait before we eventually get our daughter's unabridged birth certificate??? WE have exhausted all the channels posible but still we do not have our child's birth certificate.
