My daughter is leaving for Europe today and after 8 months I still dont have her unabridged birth certificate. I have complained before, but this is for all of you that are also waiting. Go to or contact the hospital where the child was born. They will give you a document to confirm the birth of the child. Ensure that all is done in the same handwriting! Mom's name & id number, dad's name & id number, child's name and id number. Then also attach you application for unabridged birth certificate to application for visa. We managed to get the visa this way.
