I have been trying to obtain an unabridged birth certificate for over a year now. I first submitted an application in 2011. This was processed relatively quickly but was issued in my married name - which is obviously wrong because I was not born in my married name.
i then had to make a second application in February 2012. I have been calling the helpline, travelling to the department and waiting in queues, speaking to the manager and still absolutely nothing. I even got a third party involved (Bunnyhop) to assist me and the Department has allegedly told them that I have to deal with this myself and that they cannot assist. What on earth is possibly going on.
I am at my wits end and I am going to lose the opportunity to obtain my Dutch Passport due to this complete incompetency.
I am helpless.
