A horrible Audio Experience

My car radio went quiet mid-December. I took it to Bryanston and they told me the issue is the amp. KIA SA rejected the claim because of some ridiculous clause in their warranty. As such saying I need to pay R10 000 for an amp. So this implies.

1.That KIA does not trust it's own product, so much so that they put in such a caveat. Regardless of the use of the equipment i.e.

I have had this car for most of its life - purchased it at 8 months when previous owner traded it in
I drive on average 20 - 40mins to work, listening to the radio/cd's at normal sound range
The audio equipment is factory fitted with no addition bass or anything tampered with

2. That KIA drivers should be prepared to only drive their car for a year if basic things such as audio will give in

For most people the audio system is the least of their concerns for the time they have their cars (longer than 2 years).
What are the benefits of driving a KIA? And what other big thing should I worry about even though I drive a car that is under 40 000km?
And with this in mind as a company KIA honestly believes it is OK and normal to even quote me R10 000 to fix this problem?
