I delivered my Chevrolet to Reeds Cape Town for a routine 105 000 km service, it is a 3 year old vehicle in good condition.
There were 2 minor problems; the audio display wasn't showing the audio info, and the petrol light was illuminating erratically. Upon collecting the vehicle I discovered I had no audio or display, and the petrol light hadn't been fixed. I was sent elsewhere to fix the radio, who in turn sent me back to Reeds. When I engaged with the Service Manager Werner Malherbe, I was told it would cost me R6000.00 to fix the radio, which was working when I delivered my vehicle.
This is the second Chevrolet I've owned, and the one of numerous occasions where Reeds have returned a vehicle with more problems that when I delivered it.
I will drive in silence and consider the VW I'm going to buy. I advise against buying a GM vehicle and using Reeds. Sorry guys, the free coffee and friendly service doesn't cut it. Try fixing something.
