25 days and still no record of my parcel

I ordered an urgent part from the UK on the 15th on November. It left the UK for South Africa on the 17th of November 2013. I have been doing enquiries for the last 25 days, but my tracking number is still not on any of the local systems. In all this time, I was only able to get through to the EMS Sapo Call centre once and they told me that if the tracking number is not on the system, they can't do ANYTHING about it and I must just wait!! Apparently there is NO WAY to track a parcel?? Biggest load of! I spend hours on the phone but the call centre is overloaded with calls and they simply cut me off after between 5 and 15 minutes of being in the queue!! How on earth do I track this parcel? It is a disgrace!!!
