Carany supplied tables; Chairs; Crockery; Cutlery; Table and chair covers for a function we had on 8th March 2013.
after returning the goods clean and washed, we asked for refund of our deposit, a week or so later the refund of 90% of the deposit occurs.
when querying why only 90%, we are referred to a point 15 of the quote stating that any deposits paid into their account will attract a 10% surcharge due to bank fees.
its not a huge amount - its a principle issue!! = don't take more than you are due!
Why don't you want the money in your bank account? - it stinks of tax evasion because bank charges are fully deductable but if a business doesn't put all their turnover through their bank account, then they can claim lower turnover and pay lower tax!
I will not recommend using this catering company.
