After returning my car to CT international airport, I am still waiting 5 days later for the refund of over R8000 to my bank account.
Upon hiring the car, I was advised that the new policy, wrt to deposits is that now the amount of R10, 500 approx is taken from your account (for a better car, Avis only require a deposit of R3000) and it will be refunded within 2 days of returning the car.
It is now 5 days later, because the invoicing was done late by ct airport staff, and now, I sit, out of pocket, because someone was inefficient. I am being charged by the bank, because some of my stop orders have not been honoured, and having to borrow funds to pay for hotels etc, because they have taken and not repaid this massive and completely unacceptable deposit.
I am also paying international call charges to make the complaints!!
