I have been banking with Nedbank on my personal accounts for 20 years. My business account has been with them for 6 years. My biggest frustration with Nedbank is that there is no-one to speak to. There is no-one that understand (or cares) about my business needs. I recently started to investigate moving all my account to Standard bank. They have a prestige banker allocated to my account. I do all my transactions with the same person and have a person that actually wants to understand my business. I get 3 free cash deposits p/m. But the most shocking was comparing the cash deposit fees. Nedbank charges me R345 if I deposit R6000. Standard bank would charge me (outside of the 3 FREE deposits) R79 for a R6000 deposit... and I have not even negotiated charges with Standard bank yet!
With Standard bank I can pay my overseas supplier via EFT from my office. With Nedbank I have to go into the bank and then another department of Nedbank contacts me a week later to send them all the same document I handed in at the Nedbank branch again.
I am incredibly disappointed in Nedbank. Should have moved my accounts years ago
