I purchased a MacBook Pro from the iStore in Sandton on 12 February 2013. I specifically asked the salesperson whether the vitality cashback still applies and he said yes. Not having received my cash back from vitality I phoned them and queried this only to be told that the cash back benefit at the iStore ended at the end of January 2013.
This is absolutely ridiculous and I am furious that due to the lack of training of staff or either a lying salesperson I have now lost out on cash back of R1690.
I could very easily have gone to Incredible Connection to purchase the MacBook however the salesperson specifically told me that the Discovery Vitality cash back still applies.
Please communicate how this will be sorted out as this is absolutely pathetic business practice tantamount to.
