Not paid for Vitality cashback

I had a vitality card which I swiped to get my cash back at PNP. I got a discovery credit card last year and was not informed that my Vitality card would be deactivated. I didnt want to pay on my credit card and continued swiping my Vitality card in order to get cashback. My understanding was that my Discovery card was linked to vitality so that the money could be transferred into the credit card on a monthly basis. I have been noticing that I have not been receiving my cashback so have got in touch with Discovery twice and they now refuse to pay me. They did NOT make it clear that I have to swipe my Discovery card twice and I am sure this has happened to lots of people. They could potentially owe me R2, 000.
