The hotel room's carpet was stained and the room had a mouldy smell. The bedding was an outdated ugly comforter and the TV is as small as a laptop screen. We were told that the waterpark was not going to be up and running but we may take full advantage of the "heated" indoor pool. The heated pool was out of order because the electricity was off? So the heating wasnt working and we had to swim in an icy cold pool.
We ask to see a manager and after 5 hours of waiting the "manager" arrives and tells us that the pool will be working the next day. Which it was not.
The halaal mushrooms were placed in the same heater thing as the pork bangers??? Seriously now. Bland terrible breakfast on top of the lack of management, and room's appearance.
What a waste of a R1000 a night! Diaz Strand Hotel deserves a mere 2 stars!
