COMPLAINT - SUN INTERNATIONAL SIBAYA LODGE

To Whom it May Concern,

I stayed at the Sibaya Lodge in Durban for 1 night on 19th February 2013.

I booked the hotel online and thought I had secured a great price of R2515-00 per night, including breakfast.

Unfortunately, the hotel was not what I had expected.

When I arrived at the hotel, I was slightly shocked that the hotel was completely different than the one described on the website.

On the website the hotel is described as a 5 star hotel but at hotel reception it clearly states that it is in fact a 3 star hotel.

The hotel had no room service and the response received was that I should contact a restaurant in the Casino. Surely an organisation such as the Sun international group would have that information relayed prior to bookings.

The carpet and the en suite in my room had an uncomfortable odour/smell.

Lastly, I had paid for a buffet breakfast but was served rationed portions by a staff member.

I have stayed at Sun International hotels for years and I have never experienced this before.
