Shocking hotel service, damaged room

Just a note on the quality of service received at Coastlands on the Ridge on 19 February 2013.

I arrived for check in around 5pm and the staff at the counter took at least 10 minutes to find the booking.

Then they said that they had no room cards available and I had to wait for a porter to open my room whenever I needed it. Due to the lack of room cards, the electrical appliances in the room were deactivated and I sat in a hot, unairconditioned room, showered in the dark as the lights are disabled without a key and then headed to my dinner meeting.

When I returned around 9.30 pm, they had the room cards available. When I got to my room, I found that the ducting on the room was leaking water and the drip was wetting the carpets, also disconcerting as it was making it difficult to fall asleep. I reported the matter and asked to see the manager. Half an hour later, the desk clerk called me to say that they are fully booked and he cannot help me.
