I am currently 40 weeks pregnant (due this Saturday 16th). I am behind in my NEW 36 gym visits and so my premium has already increased from R100 odd to R300 odd. The reason for this is I have not had the easiest pregnancy with morning sickness etc but accepted the change (even though I have been more than the previous 24 times as agreed to in my contract). I queried how I would go about 'pausing' my gym membership for a month or 2 as I wont be going to gym for a few weeks after the birth and was sent this response. "Vitality does not provide the option to freeze or put gym memberships on hold, or to extend the review period. We encourage members to go more often in the months that they are able to go to ensure that they have enough visits for the months that these kind of unforeseen circumstances arise." ARE YOU KIDDING ME??

This is the last straw as I couldn't do my health screening tests for Vitality either being pregnant as they have no considerations for pregnant women's weight and waist measurements etc. Surely they would want to check that you're having a healthy pregnancy?

I am so disgusted at Vitality and the disregard for practicality for pregnant women.
