I joined spectramed in 2008. From the beginning I was to, I was told I could go to netcare hospitals, which was important to me as the three closest hospital to me is netcare.
In 2009 I got cocksakie virus and went to the hospital only to be informed that spectramed only allows you to be stabilised at any hospital and then transferred to a life hospital.
I was a fool for not cancelling then and there.
I had a beautiful baby girl in December, when I phoned now to find out if there will be new cards issued and how much has my monthly payment gone up by I was informed my daughter is not a member and I could add her now... With a 3 month exclusion period!!!
This is now the final straw!!! I contacted another medical aid and if I join with them, no waiting period. How does that work, the new medical aid has not been receiving my money for 4.5 years without fault, however my daughter will have no exclusion period.
Thank you spectramed for your incompetence, bad attitudes and constant, if not for you we would not be looking forward to having a new medical aid, moving on to bigger and better things, you actually did something great for me... For once
