I fell pregnant end of last year, i was put on complete bed rest for the duration of my pregnancy. bed rest means-lying down in bed with my feet slightly elevated to avoid the risk of miscarriage 24/7 till i give birth. during the course of last year, i visited the gym almost everyday, i was using a personal trainer. i have been calling & emailing discovery throughout the year to get my membership suspended until i get the go ahead from my dr to return back to gym. i was told that discovery no longer allow members to do this and my contract has been cancelled and no letters from my dr would be accepted. now i want to ask discovery something, surely if Discovery is looking out for our well being, my 1st priority should be a healthy baby? i want proof of the email sent to me about the new required visits. also, if the terms of a contract was changed, surely all existing members should have signed a new updated contract especially since my last contract was signed over 7 years ago. i have spoken to my financial advisor and i am seriously considering moving my family over to another medical aid. loyalty means nothing to discovery & only seem to be interested in money.
