Today I went to mega pharmacy to fill a prescription and was helped by a pleasant, old woman with with grey hair styled in a long bob cut- who took my prescription to the pharmacist. A while later another assistant- with short grey hair- appeared with my prescription and lead me to the till. I asked her if there was a co-payment to be made and she rudely responded that I had to pay R3.50. I don't have any issues with paying a levy, but shouldn't customers be informed if there is a levy to be paid before their prescription is filled? I asked her why she was being so rude and not greeting or being nice to customers, she responded by saying that's the way it is in the shop and I must deal with it. I have been to this pharmacy a few times and the attitude of some of the assistants leave much to be desired, and I have always dismissed their rudeness but after my experience today I'm never setting my foot in this store ever again.
