Dinner reservations mean nothing at Protea!
On Thursday 19th December 2013 08:35 am (cell phone record in possession) my husband together with my 10 year old daughter made a call to the hotel to make a dinner reservation for the 20th (6:30pm) to celebrate my birthday. On arrival on the 20th in the evening we were utterly shocked to be told that we had not made a reservation by MEIKI who i should say has an extremely bad attitude. Does the hotel honestly think that we are stupid enough to come to the hotel with our children fully knowing that we have not booked and claim to have booked??? That is insulting. We asked Meiki to speak to the manager and she said that she herself was the manager and there was nothing she could do. 5 minutes later another gentleman came and said he was the manager again he displayed the same attitude, They refused us details of the general manager to voice our concerns. We then found the duty manager ourselves who said she would arrange something for us. An hour later nothing satisfactory had been arranged. We left and went to the Meat Company. We were extremely disappointed particularly my daughter who was in tears the whole evening. This was far from what we expected. What a spoilt evening
