Made a reservation on the Tsogo Sun Website for Garden Court South Beach, Paid via the secure deposit option. Received no confirmation so phoned the hotel who says that the reservation does not exist. The reservations clerk says that the hotel is fully booked for that period. I was arriving on the 05th and departing on the 07th and surprising my parents with a little getaway with their grandchildren who they have not seen in a year. Phoned the call centre in JHB who says I must contact Garden Court South Beach. Left a message for on duty manager who returns my call. Most unhelpful person who says she does not deal with reservations or accounts... why are you a manager. Utterly disgusted at the service received. Southern Sun can at least have the courtesy of finding alternative accommodation for me at that price in Durban. Had I not phoned the hotel I would be in Durban with no accommodation. It was advertised on the website, this amounts to false advertising. I will be taking this matter further.
