Me and my wife was members of Discovery Health since 2009. We went to a dentist in Zeerust in November 2013. When we went back for our second visit the lady at the dentist informed us that our medical aid did not pay for the previous visit. I phoned Discovery and they informed me that my membership was cancelled because the deduction was rejected from the bank. I don't know what went wrong because there was sufficient money in my bank. I asked them why didn't they deduct the payment of the dentist from my savings because they informed me that my savings amount was over R10 000. They informed me they are not able to do it. They also informed me that if I want to cancel my membership they will pay the savings amount into my banking account only in 4 months time. If I want them to pay it quicker I can write a letter requesting a faster pay out. Today I phoned Discovery again to inform them that I cancelled the debit order for my membership and they informed me that my savings amount is only just over R7 000 and they can't pay the money quicker into my banking account even if I write a letter. I don't know what happenend to my savings money because they still haven't pay the dentis
