2013 has been a medical disaster for me, returning from a ski Holliday late December I was troubled with a very bad Flu That I could not shake. Resulting in not training, After all it`s well know that you don't train when you are sick. I was able to do a couple of gym visits when the Normal Winter Colds hit me again. In Mid-April I underwent Eye surgery and could not train again. In June I had a bad Injury at paintball games to my Right knee and could only go for Surgery on 25th of July. It was supposed to be a quick Operation that turned into a Nightmare. I flat Lined 4 times and ended up in ICU for 3 Days. I only had 2 or 3 gym visits that I had to make but due to the ICU and recovery time in hospital and home I was not able to do so. The doctor wrote a letter to Vitality explaining my situation but Vitality wanted to hear nothing they still cancelled my Gym contract. When I phoned Vitality they were treating me like a number and only explained how the new charges will work for me going to gym again. There was no interest in an amicable solution to my Individual problem I had. I now had an extra cost of R250 a month I had to pay above my Vitality charges to go to gym.
