What is the use of getting authorisation

I have been a member of Momentum medical aid for more than 6 years now and every time I put in a claim I have to pay it out of my Health savings. Even if it forms part of the treatment plan which they have decided that I will receive. Go to the doctor and the only way that he can examine you is by sonar, you get a authorisation number, they pay for the visit but not the sonar. Making sure that your health is in good order and doing the tests that they requested, you must pay it out of your savings, I mean really what is the use of getting authorisation or doing what they requested and you pay for it out of your pocket, what is the use of having a medical aid then. This is not the first time that this happened, I struggled the previous time more than a year for them to fix their mistake
