After numerous emails between myself and our Medical Aid Broker, it came down to this:
I got an authorization number to visit a specialist - clearly stated on my Authorization History account from my medical aid. THEY REFUSE TO PAY IT. for some or other GD reason, they linked that auth nr to a visit to the GP! How in heaven's name is that even possible - SPECIALIST and GP is not the same thing.
Now, I have to find out that they will not pay for ANY specialist consulations - why even bother to have a medical aid if I have to pay cash for EVERYTHING!! Even my GP consultations (of which I had 2 last year) is getting paid out of my savings account - where the brochurre clearly states that I have a limit of 10 consultations per year (it never states that it's subject to the available funds in my savings).
I am FED UP WITH MOMENTUM HEALTH!!
