On Saturday 18 May 2013, I went to the above mentioned pharmacy to get some pills for my mum, 77 years old and in cardiac failure. She had been at the hospital for 2 weeks and was given a prescription for some medication when she left the hospital. She needed more of a particular pill and our GP said that I should go to this pharmacy with the script given to us initially. Desmond was arrogant, condescending and not helpful at all. He initially refused to give us the medication but when I called my GP, he gave me only 4 pills instead of a pack of 60. His friend, the other pharmacist on duty yelled at me across the store about things that didn't concern him at all. They were both rude and had bad attitudes. When I asked Desmond for my script that I had brought in, he refused to give it back and he also refused to make a photo copy of it. They began communicating in one of the African languages about me, which unfortunately for them, I understood. It's sad that after spending more than R180 000 at the Milpark Hospital, we get such pathetic service from the pharmacy.
