Pharmacists unhelpful!

I went to Milpark hospital on Saturday 9th March to request a day 3 dose for the rabies vaccine (venorab). The pharmacy did not have stock - not acceptable in a major referral centre for trauma- and the pharmacists could not be asked to enquire how I might go about getting the vaccine.
I attended Milpark for the dog bite initially and received day 0 vaccine, and so I was surprised that they couldn't help me.
After phoning around myself, I discovered that Linksfield had the vaccine. Why could the pharmacist at Milpark not just pick up the darn phone and enquire about this herself? Linksfield is, after all, another Netcare hospital.

To top it all off, when I did get to Linksfield, they expected me to open a file and get a formal consult in casualty for the purposes of getting an injection!! Highly inefficient. Very unhelpful.
I'm a medical doctor myself so I had to find a way to inject myself with the vaccine, only to find that there are qualified pharmacists on site who are capable of doing this!
