I regret the day I switched to Momentum Health

I changed to Momentum because I read through the benefit schedule for the particular option I was interested in, it was similar to the option I had with my previous medical aid. That said, I was referred to a psychiatrist by my GP for ADHD and depression, I told my GP I had no benefit for Psychiatrist and Psychologist and she said that it should come out of my specialist benefit. I phoned for pre-auth and was given the authorisation without any problems. All went well. Then for the follow up visit I did not know I needed another pre-auth, so obviously I only get told this when I get to Dischem for my meds. I then phone Momentum and get the pre-auth and after a long battle eventually I get my meds even though they do not pay much of it, at least it is something. Then for the next follow up visit I phone to get pre-auth (by now I have cancelled my membership) and the guy tells me I have no Psychiatrist benefit. So I cancel my app because next month I will be on a med aid that will cover all this. Today I needed to get my repeat prescription, and low and behold I need a pre-auth number to get that too, thus I have to pay R1200 to my psych every time I need to get meds. Ridiculous!!!
